Prefelt
 

Every wool hair has scales that are hooked into each other during the felting process. You will not be able to attach any further wool after all the scales have been used up,
Prefelt has been lightly needle felted leaving enough scales free.
For this reason normal felt is not suitable as a base for further creating. If you apply fresh wool behind the fabric it is possible to make wool adhere. This sandwich methode can be used on jeans jackets or other non felting fabrics like cotton or nylon
 

 

 

A lightly needled fabric as a base for needle felted pictures: a passive or active colour will create a different effect.

Forms can be cut out and combined with wet felting.

5 mm thick: available in white (2 meters wide) $ 49.50 per meter
